Yes, it’s a mobile app, and ten years ago that would have justified its limited functionality and beta-like business, but not any more. My custom post types also don’t show up in the app, nor do any post types or blocks created by plugins. Alas, typing # and the return key does not turn my block into an H2. Even on my computer I use markdown while writing posts because it saves on time. I’ve been writing on my phone long before this app, so I am used to writing in Markdown for things like headings, lists, separators, etc that I would later copy + paste into the WP editor when back at my computer. One thing that is strangely missing is being able to write posts in Markdown. The app makes it pretty easy to add new posts on the fly from anywhere + works well with iCloud Drive. I’ve been developing WP sites since 2005 and decided to try the app. Nice App, Missing Markdown Support, Custom Post Types + Custom Blocks So many times I have ideas that get written down in my phone notes and they never get turned into posts like i planned to- now I can open it up and make sure it gets done the minute I’m inspired.

Thank you sooo much for finally giving the app the attention it deserves!! Especially for the many creatives who use Wordpress, it’s important to be able to create and update our pages and posts on the go when we are inspired. Sometimes the publish button doesn’t work properly and I have to save as a draft and go to my computer to publish, but I’m confident that has been fixed with the newest update (just downloaded so fingers crossed). I had some trouble uploading images but I believe this was an issue with a plugin and it was fixed. Before, the app looked so outdated and had limited capabilities- it’s finally been updated so you can virtually do anything you can online using your phone. It’s very user friendly and the interface has been updated so much- it’s finally worthy of using and enjoying it. With so many unique and innovative features, it is not a surprise to see that WordPress has quickly become the go to choice for effortless blogging.Thank you for the recent updates!!! I actually think it’s easier to use than the website- which is great but I hope the website also gets better and Wordpress doesn’t become an app only thing.for longer posts I love to use my laptop and the web version because it easier to type a long post, but right now id rather type it on a google doc or something and copy and paste on my phone using the app. There is also ample provision to include plugins in you blog which can perform functions like spam filtering and tracking of comments. WordPress offers complete integration of multimedia content and users can easily add various forms of multimedia content to their blogs such as Video-Streaming videos and images. Options for changing themes and managing your blog content are available at the click of a button. But if your intent is to make money from your blog by publishing ads and other stuff, it is recommended that you host your own blog.Īll the controls associated with WordPress can be found in your centralized Dashboard that is neatly designed without any clutter. Users can make use of their own server to upload their WordPress blog or they can leave the hosting headache to ’s own servers. The blogger gets to determine the level of customization that he or she wants to include in their blog and also enjoy control over their publishing.
